Chance as Method
Visual identity for Massa & Marti, a Milan-based graphic design studio. The system is built on a coordinate grid that runs across all applications. Each collaborator freely chose their own image and coordinates, thus determining the position of their circle within the grid.
The result is a composition that owes nothing to imposed formal control, but emerges from the sum of individual choices and their interaction within a shared structure. No two images are alike, no position was assigned. The studio’s identity takes shape as an open system, in which each person’s decisions directly shape the final form.
