Between Screens
This poster is my contribution to PosterSafari 2025, the annual exhibition held during Zurich Design Weeks that transforms the city’s streets into an open-air gallery. The posters take shape in public space, encountered directly in the flow of daily life. Each work exists both as a print and as an augmented reality animation.
The project stems from a critical reflection on the present, in which connection seems to have replaced relationship. We live immersed in devices that capture our attention. Communication becomes hollow, shaping a reality shared only in appearance. Eyes are averted, and closeness no longer leads to genuine encounter. Distance has become a habit. Can a community still exist if every gaze is directed elsewhere?
We hide in the darkness of a black screen to escape the reality of encounter. Relationships flatten into low-effort exchanges, reduced to the recurring task of mere maintenance. We are ever more available, yet ever less reachable. Connected to the entire world and still disconnected from one another.
